The snorkling was great, but what really made this trip memorable was the sailing with captain Mike. My sons love to sail, and had a great time doing so.
Memorable day with Capt. Mike

What a great day we had with Capt. Mike! Not only is he an excellent sailor he is a wonderful host. We were a party of 2 couples and had all been to STJ before. After making sure we were familiar with the boat and offering drinks & snacks he set out. As others have mentioned, Mike is a very good conversationalist so we immediately felt comfortable and relaxed. The weather that day was overcast & windy and the sailing was terrific. We stopped at Mary Point for some snorkeling and then returned to the boat for lunch, sandwiches from North Shore deli - a favorite of ours prior to this trip. They tasted delicious as we sat out a rain squall inside the boat. The rain soon cleared up and we headed over to Francis Bay where we snorkeled again this time with some sea turtles. The day was a highlight of what was a wonderful week on our favorite island. Oh, if you go (and you should) make sure to try Mike's signature painkiller, it will make you forget all your cares.

We had such a great day! Both snorkeling locations were superb, and Mike kept the drinks flowing! He was a fantastic host and I would highly recommend a day sail with Mike and will be returning on a future trip for another sail!!

Mike is such a good captain! He knows the area well and the best spots to go. He mixes the best drinks too!!! I highly recommend this sail!
A Day Sail with Capt Mike

I have been out with Capt Mike several times. Itâs a must do every time we visit the islands. One of the best parts is getting on the water and getting the sails up. I have a memory from every trip as he never disappoints.
